Three Intentional Changes to Transform Your Life and Business
Small, consistent actions to align your goals, connect deeply, and grow authentically.
What would you change if your mindset was the only thing standing between you and your goals?
It’s a powerful question I’ve been reflecting on this month - the month of goals and resolutions. Inspired by Clark Kegley’s 3 Decisions That Will Define Your 2025, I’ve committed to three transformative changes that will guide my journey in 2025. These commitments go beyond setting goals—they’re about aligning my life and business for the long term.
Here’s what I’ve learned so far and how you can apply these lessons to your own path.
For a deeper dive into my reflections, check out the full article on my website: 3 Commitments for Change.
1. Focus on the One Thing That Matters Most
When you’re juggling a business, family, and personal health, it’s easy to spread yourself too thin. For years, I’ve been running a service-based business that relies on implementation. It’s been fulfilling but also has become more demanding—and I’ve realized it’s time to pivot.
Enter The Digital Navigator HQ (DigiNav). My plan is to create a space that cuts through the noise of advice, tools, and strategies to help solopreneurs and creators build sustainable, values-driven businesses. This means starting to let go of my existing agency model and focusing more on DigiNav. My income goal: $5,000 per month within one year.
Your Action Step: What’s the one project or shift you’ve been avoiding but know could change everything? Identify the small steps—for me, it’s been improving my storytelling and setting a clear monetization plan.
2. Build Deeper Connections with Your Audience
Relationships matter, and YouTube is the platform I’m prioritizing to connect with you on a deeper level. Writing has been my go-to, but video adds an emotional layer that words alone can’t capture. That’s why I’m relaunching my personal channel to be centered around these themes:
Digital Navigator: Practical tools and mindset shifts for building sustainable businesses.
Chronically Curious: Staying curious and adventurous even at 60.
Roam Sweet Roam: Embracing location independence with on your own terms of course.
Consistency is my goal—just as I wrote over 300 articles on Medium, I plan to show up regularly on YouTube. Monetization requires 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 watch hours, and I’m ready to embrace the challenge.
Your Action Step: Think about how you can use the tools available to you to build trust with your audience. Start small—one video, one post, one interaction—and stay consistent.
3. Get Brutally Honest with Yourself
Sometimes, the hardest person to be honest with is yourself. I’ve spent years rationalizing away personal and professional challenges. A health scare—and the excuses I made around it—was my wake-up call. It’s time to take ownership, acknowledge what isn’t working, and commit to change.
One thing I’ve learned is that progress doesn’t require perfection—it requires action. My continued mantra? “1% better every day.” Whether it’s losing one pound, reaching out to one person, or taking one step toward the next thing, small changes add up.
Your Action Step: Where are you holding you back? Write it down - the one thing you are avoiding, and create a plan to kick it’s butt by being honest about the why behind it.
Three Changes, One Year
2025 is shaping up to be another amazing year. By focusing on the things I can change and affect, my three commitments—clarity, connection, and honesty—I’m setting myself up for success and fulfillment. The road won’t always be paved with good intentions or easy wins, but I’m committed to taking meaningful steps to make things happen.
Now it’s your turn. What are the three changes you’ll commit to this year? Put them out into the universe by sharing what’s next on your journey —I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Let’s make 2025 a year of transformation—together.
